About Disco Days

Thirty years ago disco music with its infectious driving beats and hypnotic feel bestrode the globe.

Now your listeners have the opportunity to relive the memories and music of the late 70’s and early 80’s disco era.

Simon Yates digs out the glitter ball, the vinyl 45 and 12 inch single to bring back that good dancing feeling in a one hour weekly program.

Disco Days features the classic disco songs, some hard to find disco tracks and the best 80’s euro disco. Think of Donna Summer, Thelma Houston, Shalamar, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Brothers Johnson…. the list goes on.

Disco Days is now in its fifth successful year. Originally broadcast on Blast 1386 in Reading, the program has mow gone global and is complemented by a website, which provides listeners with program information, news of disco artists and a track listing of the songs played each week.
